Last week we celebrated a new edition of Hoteliers meetup with our colleagues of Valparaíso’s region.

It was a pleasure to meet again with faithful colleagues and other new participants to share new succesfull and failure stories in SMEs hospitality businesses.

Topic #1: What is the situation and the sales channels of the Internet industry today?

We explain what was the situation for the hospitality industry in online channels. What were the developments and trends that were currently happening in order to know which of those novelties had a direct impact in the hotelier’s everyday. What we needed to understand is that the web is becoming more personalized and that we could influence our online findability with our own tools.

Topic #2: Increase 10% your occupancy!

To increase occupancy we must understand how it works when the traveler is on the internet, what happens when he visits an online travel agency, when he visits your hotel’s website? Understanding your potencial customer is important for us hoteliers as afterwards we can value certain things in our communication strategies such as: Free Wifi (highly valued by guests).

topic #3: Increase your profitability by 20%!

We wanted to convey our colleagues the need to work with common goals, thinking in intencifiying our industry unity to promote our tourism destination. That’s why Jorge told us a bit more about his personal experience and strategy to appear in the first 4 places of Google searches, what are the things that impacts the customer and had Offline and Online implications for the Hotel.

The result and premicia that reached over this event was that we had to take the arms to defend what is ours through various tools offered by the web and Clerk. Also we came with strategies easy to implement to boost the sales and avoid intermediaries dependency.

Para está nueva edición de Encuentros Hoteleros volvimos con mucho ánimo a nuestra sede después de una campaña de eventos por Santiago y el Sur de Chile (decimos sede porque ¡Clerk es viñamarino!).

Una vez más contamos con gran participación de distintos actores de la industria de la hotelera y tuvimos un grato momento compartiendo e intercambiando sobre distintos temas que tenian que ver con ¿Cómo potenciar mi hotel con internet?

Las presentaciones fueron entretenidas y los participantes interesados. Jorge Barahona conversó sobre No es lo mismo ocupación que rentabilidad ¡No caigas en la trampa!


Guillermo Zúñiga Gatica compartió ¿Cómo hacer promociones hoteleras que funcionen? ¡Venga llame ya!


Y finalmente Pedro Arellano nos contó Cómo llevar la gestión de la administración, las ventas y clientes de mi hotel con la ayuda de Clerk.

Once again we had a succesful and motivaded attendance all gathered in the Monterilla Hotel for a round of presentations based on “How to empower your hotel with internet”

Jorge Barahona shared “Rentabilty and ocupation are not the same, don’t be fooled”, Guillermo Zúñiga Gatica explained “How to make a hospitality promotion that work” and finaly Pedro Arellano pitched us with “How Clerk can manage the administration, sales, accounts and clients of my accommodation”

Nos complace compartir con todos nuestros colegas los detalles de nuestra nueva edición de Encuentros Hoteleros que se estará realizando el próximo Martes 30 de Octubre en el Hotel Monterilla (2 norte #65, Viña del Mar).

Trás una primera campaña de Encuentros Hoteleros en el Sur de Chile (Santiago, Osorno, Valdivia, Temuco) volvemos a nuestro cuartel en Viña del Mar para presentar ¡una nueva ronda de temas y novedades de la industria!

La última vez que nos encontramos en el Hotel Monterilla contamos con la participación de más de 40 representantes de la industria y pudimos conocer a muchos colegas y sus preocupaciones. Esperamos nuevamente que este evento sea de su agrado y que nos acompañen aún más amigos de esta profesión.

Los esperamos a las 10:00 am con un programa muy interesante:
