We want to announce the launching of the new web and facebook booking engines for all our customers. The main features that should be noted is that:
Guests can make reservations viewing pictures and personalized descriptions.
Guest can book multiple rooms at the same time.
We have studied the tourist booking process on the internet and the necessary details that lead to choosing a property over another. The result is this beautiful and functional booking that will increase profits and improve the traveler experience.
This new feature is closely related to the recent launch of “Rates and Seasons” allowing you to sell your occupancy rates differentiated according to seasons or key dates so that your sales strategy in the long term is efectively applied. Please note that you have to fill out all your hotel information and upload your rooms pictures on the administration panel of your Clerk account.

The launch of our new price calculator is related with our latest feature “Rates and Seasons” and the renewed Clerk booking engine!
The idea is that you have the tools to configure and automate Seasons and Rates. In this way reservations made by your receptionists or the ones entering through your integrated booking engine are following the pricing rules you configurated in Clerk. The calculator is here to give you more flexibility and make rate changes in three different ways:
Want to sell a room but changing the type, such as a selling a Single as a Double or when overselling upgrade a client from a Doble to a Suite. This changes are very normal in the industry that is why Clerk’s calculator adjust this in two clicks:
Want to sell a room that has different seasons with the same rate applied. For example you want to apply a promotional rate throughout the reserve of a loyal customer, you only need two clicks.
You can also manually edit the price for all nights directly into the calculator:
Last week we celebrated a new edition of Hoteliers meetup with our colleagues of Valparaíso’s region.
It was a pleasure to meet again with faithful colleagues and other new participants to share new succesfull and failure stories in SMEs hospitality businesses.
Topic #1: What is the situation and the sales channels of the Internet industry today?
We explain what was the situation for the hospitality industry in online channels. What were the developments and trends that were currently happening in order to know which of those novelties had a direct impact in the hotelier’s everyday. What we needed to understand is that the web is becoming more personalized and that we could influence our online findability with our own tools.

To increase occupancy we must understand how it works when the traveler is on the internet, what happens when he visits an online travel agency, when he visits your hotel’s website? Understanding your potencial customer is important for us hoteliers as afterwards we can value certain things in our communication strategies such as: Free Wifi (highly valued by guests).

We wanted to convey our colleagues the need to work with common goals, thinking in intencifiying our industry unity to promote our tourism destination. That’s why Jorge told us a bit more about his personal experience and strategy to appear in the first 4 places of Google searches, what are the things that impacts the customer and had Offline and Online implications for the Hotel.
The result and premicia that reached over this event was that we had to take the arms to defend what is ours through various tools offered by the web and Clerk. Also we came with strategies easy to implement to boost the sales and avoid intermediaries dependency.
